Ageforge Armory: Army Skins, Keep Skins, Banners and How to Unlock Them

The Ageforge Armory holds 4 army skins, 4 keep skins and 15 banners. All are earned by playing, and none change gameplay.

Key takeaways

  • The Armory is where you equip cosmetics in Ageforge: 4 army skins, 4 keep skins and 15 banners.
  • Every cosmetic is earned by playing. There is no store, and no skin changes stats, range or cost.
  • An army skin dresses every unit in every age. You earn it one age at a time through a quest of 4 chapters, and each chapter unlocks one age of units.
  • Army quests count your real matches, so there is nothing to claim. Keep skins and banners are earned by deeds, and you press Claim when a deed is done.
  • Both players see each other's skins, keeps and banners. Team colors never change, so you can always tell whose unit is whose.

What the Armory is

The Armory is the page where you pick how your side looks. It has three kinds of cosmetics: army skins for your units, keep skins for your base, and banners that stand beside your keep. You earn all of them by playing. Ageforge has no store and no premium units.

None of it changes how a match plays. A skinned unit has the same HP, damage, range and cost as a default one. Team colors stay on, so you can always read which side a unit belongs to, even when your opponent wears a skin. Your opponent sees your loadout too.

Keep skinThe look of your keep in every ageA deed, claimed in the Armory

Army skins and their quests

Each army skin dresses all of your units. It is earned through a quest with one chapter per age (Stone, Medieval, Gunpowder, Future). Finish a chapter and the units of that age wear the skin from your next match. A half-finished quest still works: if you have only done the first chapter, your Stone Age units are dressed and the rest keep their default art.

The game works out your progress from your match history, so there is nothing to claim and a chapter cannot be lost. You do need to be signed in for your matches to count.

Keep skins

A keep skin changes how your keep looks in every age. There are 4: Frostforge (rare), Obsidian (epic), Gilded (legendary), Rat's Nest (epic). Some of the same names appear as army skins, so you can match your army to your keep.

Some keep skins come from bringing friends. A friend counts as a recruit once they join through your link and finish 3 real matches. At most 3 recruits are credited per UTC day. Extra ones roll over to later days, so real friends still count, but you cannot farm a skin in one evening. Read how to play with a friend for the invite flow.

Banners

A banner is a tall standard that stands beside your keep in every match. There are 15: 6 common, 5 rare, 3 epic and 1 legendary. Each one is earned by a deed, such as playing, winning or losing a number of matches.

Wins and losses for banner deeds follow the leaderboard's anti-farming rules, so a daily cap applies to wins against guests and against the same player. The rarest banner is the Rat King, for win 100 matches.

How to equip what you earned

  1. Open the Armory page.
  2. Claim any finished deed. A banner or keep skin is yours once you press Claim.
  3. Open the loadout and pick a keep skin, a banner and an army.
  4. For the army you can choose Auto, Default or a specific set. Auto wears a finished set first, then a live event set, then the set with the most chapters done.

If you never choose, Auto means a quest reward shows up in your next match without a visit to the Armory. After a match, the result screen shows your quest progress and tells you when a chapter unlocks. If you rematch, the new look is used straight away.

FAQ

Do Ageforge skins change gameplay?
No. Army skins, keep skins and banners are cosmetics. Stats, ranges and costs are the same with or without them, and team colors stay so each side is easy to read.
Can I buy skins in Ageforge?
No. There is no store. Every skin and banner is earned by playing, by finishing a quest, or by bringing friends.
How do I unlock an army skin?
Finish the chapters of its quest. Each skin has 4 chapters, one per age, and each chapter unlocks that age's units in the skin. Your progress comes from your match history, so there is nothing to claim.
Do I need an account to earn cosmetics?
Yes. Quests and deeds count the matches of a signed-in account. Guests can look at the Armory, but their matches do not add progress.
Do event skins disappear when the event ends?
No. The window only limits which matches count toward the quest. A chapter you finished during the event stays unlocked for good.
